How To Access Instagram Insights?

Step1: Set your Instagram social media profile to the public.
Step2: Now tap on the profile section which is given below. Here in the top right corner, you will see a three-dot like a figure. Tap on it.
Step3: Now tap on the option named settings provided at the bottom of the pop-up window which appears after the second step.Step4: Now scroll down and tap on the option “Switch To Business Account.”
Step5: This step requires a facebook page. If you don’t have any pre-created page, then you can create it here. If you have a facebook page, then connect it with your account.
You don’t require a branded or any famous facebook page. It only needs a facebook page; it doesn’t matter that any content is posted over it or not.
Step6: If you don’t have any page, it will redirect you to another screen. Here you have to fill all the necessary details and click on the “Done” button.
Step7: Now, you will be seen as a message where you can see the welcome greetings. Your account is now converted into a business account to use these tools to optimize your page.
How You Can See Your Insights?
There are three ways to view Instagram insights for your story.
- The first way; you can see the Instagram insights by clicking on three dots or three-line structure in your profile section. Now click on “insights” given here.
- The second way, you can see your Instagram insights through your post. Just go to your post and click on “view insights.”
- The Third way, here, you can see the Instagram insights for stories. Open the story and click on the option “seen by” followed by some number on the left side of the bottom.

When you open Instagram insights, then you will see three different categories which are:
The Activity section tells about the influence of your page.
This section further divides into two subcategories Interactions and Discovery.
Here you will find the total number of actions related to your account. There are many parameters that describe what type of actions is taken for your profile. Parameters: Profile Visits, Website Clicks, Email, Call
You will also be provided with a graph showing a report for each day.
DiscoverabilityIt describes the overall performance of your Instagram account. Parameters:- Rich: Number of unique accounts seen in your post. Impressions: Total number of times your posts have seen.
This category tells about insights of your posts. This tab is again split into three parts: Feed, Promotions, and Stories.
This section provides you with information related to the total interactions of your posts. There are some parameters related to the feed section: Comments, calls, Emails, Follows, Impressions, Reach, Saved, Likes, Website Clicks, Engagement, Get directions, and Profile visits.
This section tells you metrics related to promotions and paid ads. Here you can see which ad is more effective.
This section tells insights related to your stories. Here you will know how users interact with your posts.
This last section tells you about your Audience. Here you will know who your followers and their location. You will get information like Gender, Top locations, Followers, and Age Range of your Audience.Knowledge about your audience helps you to grow your social media marketing.
